About the role

As a part of the Implementation team, the Business Analyst will perform analysis, design, system configuration and testing tasks to support the delivery of Change across our sopp+sopp, Motor Repair Network, Activate Parts and Activate Accident Repair brands.

The Business Analyst will be assigned to multiple projects which deliver a diverse range of change objectives, and covering a variety of functions within the AGL Group. Changes could cover objectives relating to Product, Regulation, Technology, Clients, Process and Automation, enabling the business to adapt and grow.

A seamless experience is paramount for our internal stakeholders and our clients. The Business Analyst will work throughout the project to ensure our stakeholders are supported, and that our services and processes meet client and business needs.

Key responsibilities

  • Analysis of requirements, data, processes, configurable system setup and system functionality
  • Capture and document requirements clearly to ensure internal stakeholders can understand and review
  • Work with stakeholders to design processes and solutions which meets business and client needs
  • Identify requirements where IT development would be required, creating ‘user stories’ and ‘wireframes’ to support technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Create clear, detailed & unambiguous requirements, process documentation and flows
  • Conduct impact analysis of proposed changes to existing processes and technology
  • Analyse complex data sets to provide meaningful intelligence
  • Own and execute test plans to support the delivery of requirements
  • Identify opportunities to increase automation and optimise processes
  • Support the Project Manager throughout the Lifecycle of the Change project by representing the requirements and our solution in project discussions
  • Contribute to project planning and actively participate in all Project Working Group meetings, flagging potential risks and any challenges with delivery
  • Support internal colleagues with testing, training and communications to enable operational readiness in advance of going live
  • Support the wider AGL Organisation and the Head of Implementation with project related Business Analysis, system configuration and testing tasks as required
  • Potential to travel (albeit infrequently) to our other main office in Peterborough or our other sites.
  • Hybrid working with 3+ days in the Halifax office

Skills and experience

  • Business Analysis experience covering processes, operations, contact centre, technology, client services and testing, 5+ years desired
  • Strong Business Analyst skills and ability to use a variety of techniques covering analysis, data, requirements gathering, solution design, and documentation
  • Strong stakeholder management and engagement skills, able to gather requirements from a variety of operation functions through the AGL group
  • Strong communication skills and able to present requirements and processes to a variety of stakeholders at different levels of seniority
  • Good Microsoft Office skills (especially Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and skills with process mapping software
  • Collaborative team working approach and ability to build strong relationships both in person and remote
  • Hardworking and can-do attitude, able to work in a fast-paced environment over multiple projects concurrently
  • Able to work under minimal direction in line with the Change Lifecycle and Framework
  • Logical, analytical, with strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Solution-orientated and always looking to deliver for our clients and internal stakeholders
  • Accident Management industry experience desired but not essential
  • Ability to demonstrate Business Analysis over a diverse range of Change objectives and a variety of functions such as technology, product, operations and contact centre teams is essential
  • Business Analyst professional qualifications preferred, or ability to demonstrate experience performing these skills
